Another WIP, although I think I'll stick with a blush and rose colored palette on this one. I'd appreciate some crit here on the composition and anything else. Things to change: size of head/shoulders in relation to torso, make her taller in relation to the window, figure out something simple for the pane nearest her.

One of the current problems is that the legs appear very short. Imagine that big purple circle as her butt. The frame would cut off somewhere around the top third of her calves, yet the angle of the fabric suggests that the bottom of the frame is right above the ground. It may help to actually draw the legs, and then put the dress on a complete figure.
Also be careful about clothing design. Front panels and butt sashes like the ones you have drawn are usually seen on dresses that cinch at the waist, so they can accentuate the butt. This lovely lioness's waist isn't visible at all, since her dress cinches around the ribs. Basically you have the bottom of the dress and the top of the dress, and not the midsection, which give the impression that the pelvis is right below the ribs, with no room for her tummy.

Thank you, you're absolutely right. I'll do some more sketching and get it sorted. Building figures is a little difficult for me if they're not 'thing floating in space without planes or gravity' because I can't figure out whether to start at the bottom or the top. Guess where I started? No but for real, thank you for the crit, I'll fiddle with it.
