SO THIS IS OLD ART FROM 2011...... also a dated but not completely abandoned story concept. i picked up the old art, lined it and colored it. it looks a lot different from how i draw now because i wanted the story to be illustrated in a highly stylistic way, and this is what i came up with.

on the left is a cheerful good-natured demon named steinmentz, but his nickname is pastel fabulous. and on the right is a quiet boy named hatch that lives in an enchanted forest.

the story goes like this: hatch is living peacefully with the other creatures in the forest until a dark shadow-like demon attacks. he tries to fight back and fails, but the forest grants him powers to destroy the demon. this first attempt only partially succeeds, spawning stein. what happens after that i'll leave a mystery, but hatch does undergo a rather strange transformation in order to finally do the shadowy demon in. to summarize, it's a colorful story that's an allegory to the experiences i've had with crippling anxiety. soooo it kind of means a lot to me.

i dunno how to feel about posting this stuff ^^; something tells me i might have the energy to pick the project back up if people show interest in it. but i guess we'll just see... man i should try drawing like this again. i miss drawing cartoony stuff.
