I'm homesick. I live in cali, but I really miss tennessee. I had 
make this abstract concept for me.
The idea is that every night i go to sleep in california, but what comforts me is thoughts of Tennessee and southern life. My life and opportunities are in california. I am happy here. I love my life here, but I'm still southern at heart. I grew up southern and will always have that culture as apart of who I am....so I will tend to be home sick from time to time.
Blankets have always been a comfort to me my whole life, so a blanket was fitting for the Tennessee flag. The flags were the easiest :p way to create the abstract idea of states. Irony of it is, i so did not grow up in tn...but tn took me in when sc didn't want me :D So did its people and my mama. The place grew on me.
Believe it or not, this is vent art for me XD Though looking at it makes me just kinda smile. Look at dat big ol tn blanket :D

Kudos to kristein for this piece and no matter what AutumnRose,the south will always remember and love you just the same. I myself am from Mississippi and i still live here but i just thought perhaps if i mentioned that fact then you'd be alright and still going about your goals and dreams. Stay on course and you will indeed achieve what you wish to have in life.
Surprisingly feel the same way sometimes. Even though I've been in Socali for years, I still have a bit of Country in myself as well though I have relatives on either side of this country (Cali and Pennsylvania) I still miss Kansas City, Ks. But Here's the fun thing you can do here :) Say something like this "Man I definitely miss Scrapple! Shoo Fly pie, lebanon bologne, and why don't you guys even know what a Sopapilla is? It's amazing! But then too getting used to saying things is interesting too...driving to here on the highway passing signs saying "Exit to La Canada" and "Now Entering Yukon". I remember asking "When did we reach Canada? I thought we're in California?"
haha the other day i was on the bus. the bus driver looked at me funny cause i told my friend, "I'm never taking you anywhere. You'd steal all the butter out of cracker barrel!!" My mom also told that friend one day, "oh you speak that mexican" Gawd i need to go to az for cracker barrel now XD There isn't one in all of ca
Heh, you and me both. It'd make a killing here in cali. that and more CiCi's Pizza's I mean, come on. five bucks for all you can eat pizza? Who wouldn't pass that up? ^.^ Guess also I totally miss Ryan's. They do have Golden Coral here now but the lines for that place wrap around the building. Also I've only seen two Sonic's here...one in Anaheim and the other in Arcadia. Anyways, still fun joking with friends saying I've been to the North Pole twice and the second time around, it sadly started to look a bit run down...needs a new paint job on the buildings. I've also been to Pike's Peak twice in Colorado Springs, CO.
Aaand about right now a few west coast people will be wondering what we're talking about except Cici's, Sonic's, and Golden Coral :D

What's with ca and buffets? There's not that many!! There's a lot of sonics. THey just hide. Theres two in costa mesa that I pass on harbor blvd. Website says anahiem, costa mesa, santa ana, fullerton, and all the others don't matter cause i can't reach them by bus :P Long ago when i last lived in ca, there was only one. We had to ride the 47 to it. XD My friends were like, "what's a sonic?" I was like, "Yup, adventure time!!" I demand KFC be like they are in the south, a buffet! oh and chic'fil'a....disappoints me in ca. how do you screw up a premade southern recipe? Its like crack in tn. THe ones here taste bad. Golden Corral is good. Just costs too much for me. We have like a ton of them back in tn. No clue where they are in oc.

Never tried Bruxie but there is a golden coral in west covina. Still CA does have some good places too, TONS of Chinese food and a place called Jim's Burgers.....Just last weekend I tried one of their D.U.I's and it was amazing....The DUI is basically chili cheese fries, carne asada all topped with pastrami on top. But yeah, KFC is alright, they do have a Popeye's/Churches chicken here...guess the other place that dissapoints me is the Long John Silver's here and lack of Captain D's. With Chick Fil A, It's alright but I sadly compare it to the chicken sandwiches from the other places here.
Like I said before, I haven't tried Bruxie, but I did go to a Machine Shed in MO and Still I really miss sopapilla's...basically it's a puff pastery that looks like a sofa pillow and what you do is nibble one corner of it, fill the inside with honey and it's amazing!
Last good thing is that there are a few Hobby Lobby places around now so hopefully Cracker Barrel will be trying this area again *Prays*

Sounds good to me and I'll agree, I miss MO, Silver Dollar City, Pensicola, and the summer camp H.Roe Bartle where I actually had a skunk get to about two yards from me before my scout leader said "If you have gotten sprayed by that skunk, you see that hill WAAAAAY over there? That's where you'll be for the rest of summer camp...*sighs* also miss making walking sticks there too...
Blah, CA is amazing, yes, but cheaper? I wish I had a job to pay off the college loan I have had for over ten years :P
