... well, it started OFF as a study, but ended up being a full-on portrait. Started it on 8/16, and literally just finished it.
Decided to take my time on it because it's a difficult expression to recreate, and it was a good exercise. Coming up with a good method for making the shirt look sparkly was interesting, too.
I'm sure Red Dwarf fans will recognize what scene this is from (only change I made was that I gave his hair less "poof" on top--I prefer how it looks in later seasons). If not ...

Ok, this thing comes from 2013... and you seem to have put the scene where the shot that this draws inspiration from... into the opening of your Red Dwarf vlogs, HOWEVER, regardless of it being so on-the-nose, I have failed to notice it, until the recent vlog, which presented this very scene
