
Simba, a strapping young African lion (Panthera leo) at Jungle Cat World, peers at you through a fence.
I have been fortunate enough to work with the amazing animals you see on my page very closely. This has afforded me opportunities to get photographs zoo visitors wouldn't normally be able to get. In this case, I wasn't behind the scenes, but I thought the diamond pattern of the fence framed handsome Simba here quite nicely. I also feel the colors are fairly complementary. Although fencing in zoo photographs is somewhat frowned upon, sometimes the 'infrastructure' of an enclosure can be used in a photo for composition purposes.
