So that's what bastion looks like....and it's not like ebon needs more sweets for the gangs sake; which raises the question y does ebon get freebies cuz if he's trying to help the gang survive it seems quite selfish and uhhh selfcentered.....can't remember another word more along the lines.....a lot of questions not enough info for facts and reasonings heh ^^;

Let's see..
At first they already know what the cause of it is, however they have no clue where on which island the source of the problem is. Sol has full confidence that he is not needed, so he went to kill some time baking things to later eat himself. With the island's inhabitants and tourists who were also trapped there, they wanted his cakes, so he decides to give them up for trade. Sol is greedy. Ēbon, his baby brother, often is given the pastries so they won't start disappearing even from while he's looking. In other words to prevent them being stolen by Ēbon cause he has little self control when it comes to food, not to mention he's spoiled and greedy as well. Aside from love, Sol takes advantage that he can use Ēbon as a garbage disposal to keep the items on food in stock fresh after they figured out a plan to get rid of the old food without anyone noticing. Thanks to Bastion and his network of shadow beasts, Sol makes a unreasonably vast amounts of cakes and pastries, which would have been a problem if Trip didn't need so much for the exploration party (HP items) and himself cause of the nature of his ability (need calories/fuel to shapeshift).

The situation of O'dale Islands is deteriorating the longer everyone is trapped there and completely isolated from the outside world. As things grew more insane, Sol can not give special treatment without making trouble, and that's the last thing any of them need.

Ēbon has an eating disorder and little self control with food in his hands. The gang can't count him saving some for the party, which is one reason why Trip, the elected leader of the exploration party. was chosen to be the item master of the party.

Sol does later join the party. but it doesn't mean he's taking the shop with him, so he has whomever who stays at the hotel(those not in the active party) keep the shop going while he's away in the party. He utilizes the same ability to store items Trip does to store his personal batch of cake for emergency uses only (due to his power not working properly on the island, he is incapable of using his healing power skills, so he uses his inner cake stash to heal/revive the party members one at a time as long as he doesn't get KO'd himself).

Whao that is a mouth full but it makes sense to what I have read...man u keep ur BIOS and stories straightr than I ever will o.O
