A gift for a friend I did a while ago.
Glass etching on a mirror.
Racoon muse. In her hands is the symbol for a switch (in solid state circuit design) and the alchemical symbol for silver (to represent photography).

Yup. That's why I have the rather swirly/mottled effect on the frosted sections.

I really got to try another project like this again sometime. Though I've got to say you get much nicer results with gritblasting. Very impressive work.

I'm a big fan of the blaster - but then I so love me some power tools ;) The blaster gives you a lot more options as far as effects go. Some really amazing glass artists can even shade with it - but I'm nowhere near that stage yet. On the downside, a blaster is a major investment.
