A soul has two sides, dark and light
divided by the razor's slash,
betwixt the worlds of day and night
each hidden from the other half,
Each sealed away from mortal sight
until the halves become a whole,
when man and demonkind unite
the strength of miracles bestowed,
to cleanse away unbalanced blight

i'm really digging this design...
-HM- ... though, the belt on the demon form guy looks like it's riding just a hair too low... kinda makes the torso look a little elongated. if this is a design element, then groovy, but it is kinda playing tricks with my eyes and how i'm seeing the proportions. other than that, i can't really see anything that looks off.

The shirt sticking out on the one side of the human/light half is a bad choice, it doesn't seem to fit the character's personality and style correctly (either tuck it in more, or untuck more of the shirt).
Hair, and body hair design is very solid.
The shoulder strap carrying the bag should have the buckle either closer to his shoulder or closer to his waist line, it looks quite awkward in its current position.
Horns and Ears are very well designed and look great.
Heel of the left(my left) foot of the demon/dark form looks weird, but I think you know that already X3

Rawr I like his design :) very neat stuff.

One thing that seems a little inconsistent is that the one on the left has more hair everywhere...except the top of his head. On the right, he has a ponytail as well as a bunch of hair in front of his face. The one on the left just has it slicked back. But proportionally, it looks like the right would have much more hair without his hair tied back.
The ears seem fine to me personally, following the curve of the eyes and touching the top of the ears
.
The strap on the left holding the bag- this may just be me, but I always feel like its going to fall off if I don't have the buckle of the strap higher up on my chest. The belt looks fine though-you can put the buckle of a belt wherever you want, its just the social norm to have it in the middle. Obviously, he doesn't care about that.
On the left- his right foot. It looks like he's got an extra toe/finger/appendage where his heel is. I dunno if this was intentional, but it looks like it's an accidentally botched heel. Whichever way it's supposed to be, it should be more clearly defined.

No real constructive criticism aside from your choice of colour for the leather on the left figure. I find that it doesn't quite 'pop', whereas the details on the right figure are really defined as far as colour goes.
Other than that though, great stuff as usual, I love the apelike appearance of the guy on the left. His musculature in that respect is really convincing.

the demon has horns on his chin right? they look a little like a white beard stripes
it would be cool if his eyes were more....menacing/+dark
the human could have more elements that tell more about him- its like theres just enough going on with him that you know somethings up but not really what his story is

i like how you adopted the archetypal "ogre/demon" body type. bulky, massive and top heavy. great work on the exaggerated demonic musculature. couldn't think of anything else, maybe more demonic features?
and since this is a cleaned up then colored sketch, its more meant to show the main idea behind the character. hence the roughness and construction is probably due to the time spent in rendering this character sheet. since most of your "showcase" stuff like "The Grant series" is polished to perfection.
i like how you sketched both characters and then took the details for the head and neck. also the way that the body hair has been roughly rendered.
and it does look like you flipped the body sketch to create the other character.
the higher set ears in the demon form is a nice touch. the alignment need only apply to the human form.
is there a possible 2nd stage demon form? please?
overall great work. i'd like to see a more finalized picture in the future.
just some thoughts and comments.

-hm- There's a liiittle perspective issue on the demonic guy's face. Left side (on the viewer's angle) of the chin seems a little bit too deep compared to the right side, or the rest of the face.
Overall, there's some other things that seems odd, but it's just a matter of style, like the previously mentioned "looong torso" or the short legs.
Besides HM thingy, I am glad i'm seeing new stuff from you, Ger. It's been quite a while. You've been missed here.

Really like the chin bone spikes, nice savage touch. Does the symbol on his loincloth have a particular meaning, other than it just looks cool? And is that a leather "tail guard" on his tail? Kinda like a wrap to keep his tail from getting bruised/banged up on the ground when he walks? Another sensible touch.
