This is a blow-up of page 277 of Project Future, where Daryil starts getting really excitable. Daryil's eyes in the bottom-left panel get squashed into black blobs, so I've decided to post a higher quality version here.

It's set in a world which has had magic for millennia but has recently begun to develop high technology, some of which has been stolen from other worlds.
It is possible for the more powerful races to steal souls, and the story explores the idea of using this technique for more positive goals, such as transferring the souls of the dying or recently deceased into an android replica. Then things start to get out of hand as rival groups learn what the researchers have been doing and take exception to it.
It originally started out as a DMFA fanfic, but took on a life of its own.
