I actually have had that pointed out to me several times after the fact.
But to be honest I was actually just jumbling random syllables and sounds aloud to myself.
Ja - Kar - Ta sounded right. Kind of primal and exotic at the same time.
I wonder if the word or city name has any meaning? I am an etymology fanatic at times!

it has. actually Jakarta is a short from JayaKarta means Glorious Prosperity (cmiiw). the more interesting is, before named jayakarta, it named batavia. it quite have long story if your interested in it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jakarta
