This was one of my collage art assignemtns. We were suposed to draw something distorted and I chose reflection. It really put me to task and I nearly gave up several times but in the end it paid off. I entered it in the art contest held by the my collage and was accepted out of three hundred perticipantes. I was shocked to find it had won first place. I really miss art class. It pushed me to really do all I possibly could and even go beyond the assignments intent on presenting what would be considered a finished peice. It can make all the differnce.

It helps that when you are given an project to work on you either get it done or you face the bad grade as a result. *grins* It also helps in ways of confidence building as well. If you have a really good teacher like I did they hold class critics on your work. I tell you its the hardest thing to critic anothers work face to face but it helps you learn and them at the same time.
Indeed. Right now it seems that after every digital painting I finish, I end up burned out for a month or two until I get the next one worked on. Work leaves me pretty drained and it sucks because I have so many ideas on the tip of my brain that I want to get out there, but I'm simply too tired most of the time. ^.^;
In a way. I didn't plan it that way but she resembles a goddess and for the life of me I can't think of her name. Everyone in class thought that was who I drew because she was mysterious and amoung the ruins with a pool full of fish. Her refletion was suposed to be distortion as that was the assignment. I took it a little beyond the assignment however and ended up with a completed work. *grins*
