I looked up a picture of one, and I ruled that out, too XD I'll take the picture to a teacher at school one day and have them identify it.

Definitely not a widow.

It's one of the Orb Weavers, but I can't narrow it down to Genus. Outside of a few notable exceptions, sometimes orb weavers are hard to narrow down to a specific species.

I looked up a table of Orlando FL orb weaver spiders, and couldn't find a picture of this one.

It's definitely an orb weaver, but sometimes they can be tricky. And sometimes different species have multiple color-forms.

And with Florida's biodiversity, it's tricky to find a comprehensive list of all of the ones that occur there.
