Last photo in this series. This was taken Sunday morning as we were packing up.
As I was going to sleep Saturday night, I figured out why the head kept looking more llama and less hare. It had to do with the front lips being fairly flat in the front.
I didn't "see" it as I was working on it. But as I lay in bed, with only the reading light on, I was studying it on the table across the room. This let me see the silhouette, of the whole, as opposed to focusing on the parts. Plus, I tend to get creative "aha!" moments as I'm falling asleep.
I added a little extra foam to the front of the lips in the morning, before we packed up to go, and it looked a whole lot better.
I don't like how the cheeks are coming out. They ended up smaller than they should have. I will probably rip them off and put new ones on.
But that is for some point in the future. All of my productivity time is pretty booked solid until January. I have the Digger decals to crank through, and then I need to work on inventory for the fall shows. On top of that, I have convention planning stuff that needs to be completed before Nov. And then, after Windycon and MFF, I will have post-show commissions and holiday commissions to work on.
But that's the way life goes, and I enjoy all of it.

Thank you. It was a very productive weekend. I don't know if you read the earlier posts, but we rented a corner suite for the weekend and had a bunch of people share it while we all worked on our heads. No distracting TV, no distracting computers, just working on heads and having a good time with friends. Plus, even though most of us hadn't done this before, we all had different creative backgrounds and were able to help each other when any of us got stuck.
I'm certain I wouldn't have made nearly as much progress in a normal weekend at home.
