A typical traditional veg market in Japan. The large banner reads "takenoko", or bamboo shoots. The red lanterns read "midori neko", or green cat. Yaoya means vegetable store. I know that in real life cats can't eat veggies, that's part of what makes this painting so cute and silly. Acrylic on paper, ACEO size.
