Earlier this month I reached a huge milestone with my 5,000th subscription to my YouTube page KIJANI'S LAIR (lionking300). Back when I started making fursuiting videos in 2008, never did I even think it was possible to reach that number.
As I continued making videos of doing the things I love - performing in fursuit for community and charity events, and even just for fun, in my local area - I began to realize that what my friends and I were doing was quite inspirational, and even life-changing, to some people. So I kept it going! Also, fursuiting videos were what originally got me into the furry fandom, the least I could do is give back to the cause.
In celebration of 5,000 I want to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to watch my videos, make a positive comment, send me a message or share my work with others. It really means the world to me to have the support I have from people in the fandom, to be able to spread joy to others through the magic of character performance, and also show us in a better light than what the media generally likes to portray.
I estimate I've put in well over 1,000 hours of work shooting and editing videos in the past 5+ years, but it has been worth every minute
I definitely want to give a big shout out to two people:
dolphinecho and
chaosreign. They have taken a majority of the raw video when I'm out suiting, and done a fantastic job capturing the moments that make it into the final cut. Without them, and all the wonderful fursuiters and handlers that take part in our outings, this would not be possible.
Finally, I'd like to know from each of you, which fursuit outing video(s) is the most memorable or special to you, and why? Please leave comments below :)
Thanks again everyone!

Christmas Fursuiting at Pike Place Market, Dec. 2012
Kijani, Isak and Skyan help spread some Christmas cheer at Seattle's famed Pike Place Market around the holidays in 2012.
Fursuiting for Foster Kids at Kenmore Lanes, July 2012
Skyan and Kijani (along with Frostbite Fox and Isak) helped two foster kids celebrate their 9th birthday at a local bowling center last summer. It was their first ever birthday party, and a day they will never forget!
Issaquah Salmon Days 2011 - Sunday
Nitroshep and Kato were part of a huge team of costume performers that came out to entertain attendees at the annual Issaquah Salmon Days Festival in 2011. We have been "Ohfishal" entertainment at Salmon Days since 2010 and love coming back each year!
Fursuiting at Bothell Riverfest (gone 4 straight years, 2009-2012)
Kijani, Heyu Bunny, Fuzzypaws, Skyan, Silver R. Wolfe and Ithabise appropriately pose for a photo around the "Homeward Pet Adoption Center" booth at Bothell Riverfest last year. While Salmon Days is a very large event, drawing 180,000 people over the weekend, I also enjoy brightening up smaller community events, like Riverfest, that have a unique "small town" feel. Unfortunately Riverfest was not held this year, but we hope to be back in 2014!

Congrats on reaching 5,000 subscribers. You deserve each and everyone of them and more.
My favorite video would have to be Fursuiting for the kids second edition
Why? It's the first video I ever saw on your channel and just brightened up my day instantly. Still does to this day. The music choices were perfect in my opinion and went along nicely with the video.
All of your videos are well done but will be hard to beat the first video I saw.

I am absolutely positive that looking up "Dogbomb" in the furry dictionary brings up "Inspiration and a credit to the fandom" as well
Thank you very much for the support and sharing my videos with your friends, and for your lovely stories.
I can't wait to see you in a month!

I've said in the past that there are only a few fursuiters that I have the honor of knowing that do what you do so well; that's reaching out to the masses and portraying what the rest of us would love to be able to do on a daily basis. Of course, those two are you and the poster directly above me!
Thanks for everything :)
Thanks for everything :)
I completely agree with you about
dogbomb he is so inspirational with his stories and photos. Thank you very much for the kind words, and yes I've always found it best to lead by example.

Kijani you definitely deserve the 5,000 and i feel so honored to be among those numbers, After watching that video where you guys were walking along the row of stores acting silly it made me wanna get more involved in the fandom and now because of you i love the furry fandom so much
Any Video with you making kids smile and laugh is my fav

That is so awesome! You know, quite a few people that have messaged me said that it was those first Bothell videos that got them interested in fursuiting, even though I've done so much since then :)
Thanks for your input and yes the best part of fursuiting is about the kids

Congrats man! You really deserve all those subs, you are an inspiration and a half to me. In fact, your videos are what got me into the fandom and your messages through your Fursuiting for the kids videos are what set in stone my dream to be able to spread the joy of suiting like you do! Thank you so much for being amazing and inspiring! I hope to be there when you reach 1,000,000 subscribers! Keep on being awesome man.

Im so happy for you!! X3 I had to admit the same too, Its because of you showing the true meaning of fursuiting and bringing joy to others that's brought me to pursue my dreams and then fursuiting too! Neither would I expect that Singha would have been there and only then found out you were in Seattle too. X3 I'm looking forward to experimenting with video soon too. Hopefully I can help you with some footage or even bring more people to realize the joys and excitement fursuiting can bring!

Thank you! And yes, that Christmas outing at Pike Place remains probably my favorite outing I've ever done, it's a great venue and also for pretty much the reasons you listed - Pike Place is really a melting pot of people from different ages, races, cultures, etc and they all responded so positively to us
