It's summer. It's hot. So little 
brock-omeles has taken matters into his own paws. A fan and a nice sippy cup full of ice cold juice can at least take some of the edge off the heat.
This is my entry for the current
swapsies art exchange. The theme is "Warmth," and Brock said, "It's been ridiculously hot here. How 'bout sitting in front of a fan with a cold sippy cup of juice?" Well, it's been pretty hot here too, which helped inspire me as I drew this, and this drawing makes me feel cooler. I hope it helps Brock too. :)
I'm always trying new things whenever I draw anything. For one thing, this is the first time I've ever drawn a badger! I slightly varied how I drew the diaper from the way I usually draw them. The pose is probably the most complex one I've ever done, too, with his shoulders turned, propping himself up with one arm. Sorry about the simplicity of the background other than the box fan, but it was already taking me too long. I did have to put in a pacifier, though, because he would have had to put it somewhere after taking it out so he could drink juice. ^^
And then, only after it was all done, of course I got the idea of drawing this as a reference to the old Memorex ads, but it's too late. Sorry, weird idea. Maybe another time. :)

Aww thanks Lucca! A kind word is really a good thing, and I really do put a lot of work into the line art! I think it comes from when I used to do a lot of inking and coloring of other people's pencil sketches. I do a lot of undoing and redoing it, and then a lot of cleanup. But I really like your line art too -- it has a ... I'm not sure how to put it. A roundness or fullness to it, that makes everything look so happy and bouncy. I'm not sure I'm explaining it well.
