Even though I'm living through an uncomfortable heatwave at the moment, it's worth remembering that some of you are dealing with the exact opposite. Up to your necks in snow, even, but don't worry - I'm sending my rescue dog to help!
She's meant to be a St. Bernard, but I drew her without any reference, so I doubt she's breed accurate. Please excuse the patchy background - I'm breaking my neck to go and watch some GTO. ^_^'
Thanks for the inspiration, Mark.

Lovely work, Ms Fio!
Even as the snow continues to fall, I can feel much safer, knowing that my rescue dog is on her way, with gentle eyes and brandy to spare... and other rescue assets that a Québécois half-buried in the snow can really appreciate.
I'll be waiting in that snowbank over there.

Yep, i'm up here too. >.< i want warm weather- not like t-shirt and shorts, i'm just asking to be able to wear my spring jacket. The killer part they don't mention is the HUGE fluxes in temperature. -30c with wind chill one day, then 6c the next >.< it doesn't make it easy to get used to the cold.
But even in the big Toronto, we even have a LOT of snow. *big teary eyes* they even said we may get some MORE. *sniffles*
I want it to get warmer

My Fieldbook For Canadian Scouting on the proper first-aid for hypothermia: "Strip the patient gently and put into a dry, warm sleeping bag. Another person sharing the bag with the casualty will warm a person up ... Light a fire nearby to provide heat and to prepare a warm, sweet, nourishing drink. Remember the warming process is slow, and it may take six to either hours to rewarm a person who has been seriously stricken."
