..is it wrong that the first thing that stood out to me is the gender under the submission information? I enjoy that little scientific fact, the concept, and indeed the execution. You brightened up my day.

I'm happy it had that pleasant effect. I don't think its wrong, but not overly notable either, since its just the way nature works (all seaslugs/snails being hermaphrodites biologically), but I guess it makes things more interesting and accurate. :]

Seaslugs are one of my favourite creatures. It seems that not many knows it even exists. I have one char but she looks really different from yours. She is both genders but looks more like a female

Thanks. Yep they are amazing critters. Yep, all of them are hermaphrodites, it is a defining characteristic of the animal type. I made my personal character more neutral/boyish in shape, though he can change it somewhat if desired, and often is drawn more androgynously. My spanish dancer nudimer is considerably more feminine than masculine looking. It is fun to have variety, but I usually draw my sluggers androgynously to be biologically correct. :]

Ah, its exactly the same species as me. :0 Well mine has glaucilla coloring, which is a deeper richer blue, but yeah, the foot down the front of glaucus is dark blue as are the cerata/tentacle tips. The rest of the animal is either silvery or a lighter shade of blue.

I like that you put the colors I mean on front of this char cause they swim upside down all the time. If they are not sick I think..

I put the colors properly according to the species. They usually do swim upside down at the surface of the ocean (but not at all times), and have lighter colored backs. My character swims at all depths, but then again hie is a mer-version.

omg omg omg sea lizard!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Glaucus atlanticus). These guys are the coolest little mollusc's ever!!! wow amazing stuff. Beautiful stuff, your art is so awesome. I think out of all invertebrates these guys are my favorite. You have anatomically captured everything perfectly. love these guys. awesome
