Even though I'm late at commenting, I still know how to step on them the right way. You start by lightly pressing your hoof on their back and pinning them firmly, and then sliding it over, pushing their faces down and angling the horn away from your hoof. And then you have a fully soft-surfaced, trapped victim to crunch!
