This was the pen tool over an initial sketch I drew by hand, and the shadows are simple gradients.

Hey awesome! I used to use Illustrator to render work in, absolutely fun program (just use it for inking now). It's great seeing someone use it though, it works well for your cartoony look.

Ah the Clydesdale, I think their fascinating horses. One for their beauty and two for their hooves which are really big.

I think maybe the fox is curious about the horses beauty and how it get so big. XD

I love the style to this one, mainly due to the lack of outlines. Gotta love that lack of contours! And of course, the expressions add quite a bit. Undoubtedly, cuteness is one of those. XD
