At least one success story for a fursuit theft!
A member of the party responsible for taking the mask from the show got it back to me. I am so glad she had the guts to come forward and I am thankful to have the mask back. Thank goodness for people that make a mistake and fix it in the end.
She is back safe and sound. There weren't even any damages.
I'm so happy.
If anyone is wondering the motive. I believe it was just a drunk. spur of the moment "this would be funny" situation. Not funny. But they are thinking about what they did. and probably feel very stupid about it.

I ran into the suspected culpreits the day after the theft. On SERIOUS luck as we were in an area that we don't normally ever go. and ran into them. After asking about it and asking them to keep their eyes open. it was only a few days after that and finding/ adding her on facebook that she got back to me. I about cried really.

Honestly the other day i was carrying a wip head with me between work and home and had to pick up milk... and i didn't feel comfortable leaving it in the car for 5 minutes to get it after hearing about this. But i am so very glad it came back safely! You are one very lucky dear!

Glad it got returned, but I bet that person won't be trusted around fursuit parts (that aren't theirs) again.
People need to realize that there are repercussion for their actions, even when they attempt to 'undo' what they did, people will remember what they did, and trust/faith is lost. While it's good that they returned the head, returning it alone wouldn't be enough to restore faith in them.

I am so glad that they had a change of heart and that it was returned safely and without damage. It really does restore a lil hope for humanity that they'd step forward, and speaks VOLUMES for what a kind person you truly are. I count myself lucky to have such a forgiving, thoughtful, and talented friend. <3
