Well I put up a tutorial if you want to have a go? My way wasn't the best way but it worked for me :) These were the first I had ever made, too.

It looks like it might be painful at first, but once one envisions a straight leg inside, it is not too hard to see. It might even give one a speed boost. Very well done, a nice bit of deception!

Yea, softer ones would probably be able to take some more beatings. I got to find some old, cheap shoes to re-work into a pair of feet paws.
