I remember the old Agilent counter that we had on board my old ship. Klunkiest and most needlessly complex thing you ever did see, but damned if it didn't measure everything under the sun. Frequency, AC/DC volts, current, resistance, trigger delay time, anything you could ask for all to like 7 digits of precision.
