With Giygas destroyed the apocalyptic future predicted by the herald Buzz Buzz was averted the events of time divert into another, potentially more hopeful future. The battle left the crews mechanical bodies too broken to operate and the four of them collapse outside the Cave of the Past. One by one their spirits return to their bodies in the present Saturn Valley and they awaken unharmed. Poo, having fulfilled his role in the prophecies, departs from the group back to his home land Dalaam. With the adventure over, Jeff takes the opportunity to finally spend time and learn with his estranged father in the valley. Ness walks Paula home and the two part ways after suggesting that they'd keep in touch. Ness returns home to his family who welcome him with warmth as he recounts his incredible adventure.
