Since I got a new tablet that actually has pressure settings and much much more, I decided to dust this guy off and give him some shadows and highlights, using multiple light sources and multiple techniques. I used cut edge brushes, soft brushes, airbrushes and even a watercolor brush. I used a three point lighting setup, with the key light hitting from above and to his right and the fill light focused on the front and right. I added in a rim light and even tried some procedural metal on this bad bad boy and this is the result of about five hours of painting away tediously. Man, this pen is smooth!
