- A Husky in the Snow -
[New music release - Best with Headphones!]
Commissioned character theme for "Neosibe"
neobesitz
Neosibe requested a contrasting fast/slow section, along with an ensemble of bells and choir. The flutes also play a large role in the melody... and a random thing... this is the first time I can remember using a bassoon in the performance :P The end result is hopefully the idea of snow falling and a Husky bounding along the snow capped hills.
Hope ya enjoy!

Spot on fox! My one cricisim is that sometimes you should just leave some bits of it plainly homophonic, would bring out more the sense of isolation and nobleness methinks. Try using some more arching melodies to convey the sense of landscape a bit more, sounds almost like your focusing too much on the husky and not its setting :P
Wow i've been thinking too long about this...

Whoa...I am very taken by this. I can definitely feel a husky running in the snow with this. A lone husky, but not a lonely one. Sort of like a free spirit; you can just imagine it with the light, airy beginning. Then you get in the middle, and it's more like a husky running through the snow with a mission in mind. Basically, very beautiful. I wish I could say more. I can't think up any more words to describe it. You're right--don't listen. Feel.
And yes, Hibbary is a wonderful artist.

coolkewlcool.
Listening to this, I get the idea that this character is nuanced beyond credibility. I've actually known a couple of people so deep and vast in their personality that it feels like I'm talking to a crowd. When listening to this music, you sense that within the husky bounding through the snow lies a vast expanse, a huge cavernous space filled with life--in essence, all of nature itself resides within this one husky running through nature.

Magical and majestic! Classical music has had a frighteningly long dry spell; with musician's union scale and hall rental, the first public performance of a new classical piece can cost a megabuck. You have solved that killer problem with your soaring imagination and computer skills. Thank you very much!! I can feel the lovely bounding...
Faved and downloaded. Thanks again!

A wonderful piece once more. I happen to wonder if you have listened to the score to Bioshock for the Xbox 360 and soon for the PC (if it is not already out) as some of your music and parts of this one reminds me of pieces of score from the game. If not I would recommend you checking out.
that was simply amazing! i liked how you integrated the basoon, i thought it made a very nice addition! and the choir parts at the end of the first half were also worthy of mention, they sounded kind of like musical barks to me! but i'm weird like that. XD
what does it take to get a character theme commission anyway? i'm kind of interested.

Fox, this is probably the closest thing to a movie soundtrack I've heard out of you. 100% serious--I could envision this piece as the backdrop to some movie focusing on a bleak Alaskan landscape, with a lone dog or a pack of them running among the trees through the snow. The bassoon (and english horn?) add an excellent sense of the vast solitude that blankets the frigid northern areas of the world.
Beautiful. +Fav and +Download to add to my playlist here at work.

I get the sense of a young husky puppy, after a nice long sleep in a warm house wiht his master, wakes up to see a whole bunch of white stuff on the ground. After cautiously snjiffing and exploring the new sight, he dives head long in the snow, playfully bounding about in the snow, creating a wet, cold, but very happy puppy. Then some new snow starts to fall and the puppy looks up and gtes hit on the nose by a snowflake.
okay so ever since I was a kid I wanted to be the next Walt Disney... or better! I want to animate for a living. I want to create, and your music just inspires me. I want to make something to it. So fluid and I just cant say how much I love your composing. I am a musician myself, low woodwinds. I just want to say if I ever become the animator I want to be I want YOU to be my composer.
damn. I salute you for making the greatest music of our time . I also like how
lord_meatball remix it as well. This song and the remixed version are as good as being in a 5-star rated movie. I meant it. If its movie worthy then it is NUMBER ONE ACROSS THE WORLD :D :3

Amazing! The melody gives you that feeling of staring out over a vast expanse of land while the bells and choir help give it that "frozen" theme; it conjures up memories of the first time I explored northern Skyrim, climbing over those mountains and gazing across the rolling hills of snow all the way to the frigid northern sea glittering in the light of the setting sun. I can imagine how happy a husky would be running around a place like that and this piece does an excellent job of capturing that feeling.
