Commented on the other incarnation of this. Just one thought...Even with those biceps he's liable to be laying a long gun like that down against his shoulder rather than holding it hoist like that for long (as the rest of the pose being somewhat static would seem to indicate). That's the only thing that draws my eye on the more 'finished' version.
