Short version of DA comment: these are the last sapient aliens I was to design for Entirety (there is one other but a contest on DA is deciding on it right now). I wanted an aquatic species that wasn't based on an animal I had seen previously so I went for a bivalve alien. I put eyes on their foot because that isn't a tongue btw (I did my research) to make them easier to understand.
