Just something to dust off my drawing hand before work.
To explain for everyone who's never played roulette: Corners are 8:1, splits are 17:1 and a straight-up (on the number) pays 35:1. It's the dealer's job to calculate the total winnings and pay them out as quickly as possible.
Most of the time I can get it right on the button in a reasonable amount of time, but sometimes I just get those days where my brain would rather not co-operate.

I think the only way you could get me anywhere near a roulette wheel is if you told me you'd have sex with me if it landed on the 0 or the 00 (I hear that 00 is only on American wheels, tho).
Then of course I'd sneak in and paint 0 over every slot, but you get the point. There would be much less math and much more fucking.

Great picture! I can totally related with the brain fart problem. This is what I have, just playing blackjack. I get panicked when all the other people are waiting for me to either hit or stay, knowing that either one I choose can screw up all their hands...then I can't even count 7+8.... So I just don't play. I like craps, but I have no idea what the 'odds' are, so I just put down chips and if they say, "Sorry ma'am, you have to put another $.50 behind" or something like that. then I comply. Otherwise, it's just the PASS and Field for me. Seven come Eleven!
You've no idea how much I respect you for doing a job like this - I could never do anything like this. My maths skills aren't so bad when I'm relaxed or left at my own pace, but stuff like this.. well, I'd certainly be throwing the chips and fleeing, probably shrieking the entire way.
Also, cute :D

I bet you Brain Age and Big Brain Academy will definitely help you out multiplying everything out really fast. That our just practice with as many numbers as you can or something.
But that definitely sucks. You'll need a brain of a math expert on speed to crank those numbers out.

That's easy, it's 550. Push him, say, four stacks and 470 in value. That's what he gets for betting like a dick anyway. XD
That is, if that's five splits I'm seeing there.
Yeah, I've had nights like that. Dicks betting a dozen and change straight up, seventy gajillion corners and four other ways to the number. Not that I can say I'd bet different on my lucky number (2), but I know how to treat my dealers, too.
Here's hoping you get plenty more players who know how not to be a dick. Also: Excellent pic, and since we just got a whole newly trained class of roulette dealers, this pic is even more lolfully relevant to my interests.

Funny thing is that at our last company Christmas party they set up all sorts of gambling stuffs for us and one drunken guy WAS throwing chips at everyone. Though I don't think he tried to run out the back door.. he just wanted to fight everyone. Funny thing is that everybody wanted to fight him back.. all at once. =P
Having to do those calculations on the spot like that would probably cause my braing to pack up right there, despite my GCSE A in maths. I: However, something from that far back's meaningless unless there are regular mental excercises in that subject. Don't know how you manage it.
Also, your character looks slightly different here, but it's probably a crazy oversight on my part. I like that you can demonstrate humor without resorting to an overly cartoonish drawing style.
