Even macro Pokemon need training and practice. Busbar is a bad-ass, but he's not the best. Yet. So, what better way to learn than sparring with the best? Moonlight seems more than happy to teach my Rai a lesson.
What's a little collateral damage among friends?
EDIT: Busbar's left paw is actually a left paw now. *shamed*

You know, praise is worth very little in a place like this, where people can shower you with empty words just as quickly as they can honest encouragement.
But I want to tell you that I am always amazed at what you do here. I don't know if you really think much of your work, but it's always had that sense of perspective, scale, and depth to it that allows you the imagination to truly take hold and give life to an illustration already set in motion.
So thank you for that. I do greatly appreciate what you submit here.

Dude, this is cougr you're talkin' 'bout here...
He is the equivalent of a living rock god here on FA.
Notion of deepest, greatest respects seconded! As always Mr. Sample, you never cease to amaze each and every one of us here. I doubt my skills with the pencil, pen, and perspective will ever be as great as yours. And if my writing was half as good as your art, I'd probably be a bestselling author in some small country somewhere...

Thank you for the very kind words. I appreciate the sentiment and all. Honestly, I think I get way more praise than I freakin' deserve. I'm not even half as good as I should be and not as good as people say I am.
Still, thank you.
Now... I have to go fix Busbar's left foot...

Yeah, the Brat is intense and unorthodox. Sparring with Moonlight is good for him... other than the long recovery times from having his butt handed to him by that Umbreon Monster.
Tried to make it look like Busbar is giving it all he's got: "At least PRETEND you're working, you black bastard!" While Moon is all "Hey, not bad kid. You have some moves."

It's always the little things that make a macro picture special. Fleeing pedestrians, soaring debris, impact craters, the contents of impact craters...or a massive spiderweb of lightning zigzagging through a suburban neighborhood and laying waste to little homes in a wonderful pattern; and then add to that not one, but two action-filled, dynamic poses, and this is QUITE a standout picture!
You, good sir, have never had lightning strike your house, and hopefully never will... 'cause it sucks hard x-x
Assuming Busbar's lightning is more powerful than the standard variety, and throwing in the fact that it's fantastic and should never be Science'd up... I could see it blowing some houses up. I'd science it, but eh... following the lowest path of resistance formula has it actually just exploding the city streets due to the metal reinforcements they use when pouring asphalt... but eh. Explosions > Science.
... but eh. :P

I hate to say this, cause I love your work, but I think Busbar has two right feet. the foot with the pawpads toward the viewer seems to be a right foot, as the position of the arch is facing outwards. Again, I hate to point this out, but it's been bugging me, and I thought you might like to know.
HOly Freakin' Christmas!
I Have Looked At That Picture Half a BILLION TIMES working on it and I NOT ONCE noticed I drew Busbar's foot BACKWARDS!!!
GODDAMMITT!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for noticing that. Jumping Jackrabbits, I'm usually the one to spot those things and I totally, TOTALLY missed it here.
GUUUUHHHHH!!!
Well... another half billion times, coming up.

Once again you manage to surprise us with an amazingly detailed drawing of an incredibly fluid action scene.
To my untrained eye this whole drawing looks absolutely perfect. The poses scream movement and look very natural. The colours of the two characters and their attacks jump out from the ordinary urban environment, drawing attention to all the right places.
The details of the houses and cars look really good from this height, I especially like how you mad the house 'explode' (for sake of better word for it) when the energy bolt hits right through it. It feels really natural and seriously destructive.
What else is there to say? Oh yeah. Sorry Moonlight, but seeing the both of you together, I gotta say Busbar has a better butt.
I thank you for drawing this and sharing it. It must have taken a load of time, but the results are definitely there.
