Ralph, looking just a little older, maybe a bit pudgier (not that he minds) meets one of his fans after a show (a reunion, maybe?). Zid is really excited, as he's been a big fan for quite some time. Wonder if he'll get to meet the rest of the band?
This is a little tribute to
Phraggle , one of the first artists I got into when I first started going online back in 2001. I've seen his stuff here and there over there years; It wasn't until a few years ago that I found him here on FA. He's a fantastic artist and I'm honored to be able to call him friend, cus he's a pretty decent guy, too.
I'm not entirely happy with it, but it's pretty good compared to where I started five or six months ago (sheesh..has it been that long already?) when I first started getting back into art. I have a long ways to go..but with folks like Phraggle as muses, I don't think I'll have trouble finding the inspiration to keep going.

Six months is no time compared to me XD I have sketches I'm trying to finish now that are a few years old.
...Sometimes it drags on too much, but I find it satisfying to work on something for a long time and then like the result better. I sometimes end up deciding that re-drawing the whole thing is better, but I know I learn something by tweaking pictures until I figure out which tweaks matter and why.
Suggestion: even if you don’t shade the rest of a character, try adding some basic shading and line weight to the eyes. (If you want the lineart simple and ”clean”, without cross-hatching et c, thickening the lines in the right places can do the same trick as shading.)
Example: the shadow that the eyelid and lashes cast, and the specks of light and shadow caused by light bouncing off the surface of the eyeball. Not all such details matter, but I find that those add life to the expression and a sense of focus to the eyes. Stylized versions of real light reflection work on stylized eyes, as long as you ”stretch” them to fit the eye.
(I have seen cartoon eyes done nice and vivid without the light specks, and our eyes don’t reflect light in every kind of lighting... But just like size of retina /pupil relative to size of the "white" of the eye, it's a useful /fun factor to play around with to see how it affects the overall impression.)
