You made him look very handsome. The pompadour, eyebrows, bow tie, and maybe even the eyeglasses all work together and make him look pretty fetching. I also like how you put the shine on his pompadour, beak and fish while giving a surprisingly pleasant rough shadowing effect. The full cheeks also add to the general 'surprised' feel. I also like how you used the background and the bow tie colour in making the colours harmonize to some extent.
