I had asked Hadi one day what had happened to make her become an angel. She only gave me a confused look but once I explained that angels are typically the spirits of the deceased that are there for good. She only shook her head and responded, "I was troubled when I was a kitten by being left out on the street. I remember that one particular cold night, I was about to fall asleep when I had this warm feeling washing over me. I opened my eyes to see a kind smile helping me up and showing me what it was like to help others. I'm not sure when I got my wings or halo though. I think they are very cute and glad I have them!" I sent her on her way and only hung my head low after that. She didn't know.

Even if one is adopted, that doesn't mean their story is going to be bright. The good news is that now she's in warm capable hands and will never be left to the cold.
