Bear is now 4 months old... How slow time goes!
His two sisters were adopted (TO THE SAME HOME! how good is that!) and finally, his brother... which meant I was free to adopt Bear myself :)
So, this I have done... My handsome dude now enjoys snuggling under the blanket with me (and under material in general, here he is under my jumper in this very photo), following me EVERYWHERE, coming outside and playing with leaves... and of course other cats.
I have rehomed now 7 kittens, and at the moment I have only 1 Jack Russell in my care. She is beautiful too.
There is so much personality in black cats... I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a cat who is unique.

I don't know either... I watch shelters and there are always many black cats coming in who don't get rescued until they're on the "URGENT" list... Silly superstitions :( My boy is the most loyal cat I've ever seen. I think once you try a black cat, you never go back ;)
I don't pick my pets based on colors (well, not my furry ones, reptiles have some amazing colors that I just adore) but me and my girl always feel bad for the black ones who end up wasting their years away in shelters. In fact, our youngest cat was adopted in September right before the Halloween cut off and boy, is he a cuddler!
Oh no, definitely not by colour - by suitable personality, always - but yes, waaaay too many black ones overlooked because of colour... It's like people don't realise they have great personalities too, or that they may have been there for a long time. Sad world... but so excellent you got cuddly cats :D The 2 I've had ("mine", not the family's) have been really happy to sit on my lap or with me, but unfortunately I don't get any of the awesome headbutts etc
