Here we have two characters who will get their own adventures later, so help me god.
Aconite the mercenary and his handler, Kava; profiles below.

Name: Aconite

Age: Fifty (ish)

Species: Mantis Shrimp

Occupation: Mercenary

Preference: 80% Dominant Top

History: Much of Aconite's history is unknown, due to his own unreliable memory, but what is known is that he grew up in an area of military and political turmoil, and as a result learned a wide skill set of combat and survival techniques. He believes his father taught him these, but his story continues to change, and he has insisted that it was his brother who kept him alive, or his ex-boyfriend who took him as an apprentice mercenary. The exact truth is obscured, but his skills cannot be argued with, and he is a highly sought after gun-for-hire. He is possibly an undiagnosed schizophrenic, though Kava does provide him with illegal medication to combat his delusional episodes. Despite his violent rampages, his actual body count is surprisingly low, which Kava encourages; though many people who fight him are maimed for life. He currently lives on the road with his handler, and is more or less satisfied with leaving Kava in charge of his fate.

Turn ons: Androgynous people, cuddling, gentle/rough sex (Depends on his mood)

Turn offs: Sterile environments, torture, crying, 'quickies'.

Strengths: Aconite is skilled in a very wide variety of armed and unarmed combat. He has had a great deal of experience fighting and working within hostile environments, and is not easily rattled once he's on the job. Can survive in many different biomes with little modern assistance.

Weaknesses: Due to his habit of seeing things that may or may not be real, Aconite has to rely on authority figures or trusted friends to help him sort out what is really happening. This has lead to him being manipulated and duped quite often.

Trivia: He lives in dread that he might not actually be insane, and that his incredibly sensitive eyes are seeing what's really happening, in which case his world is being invaded by terrifying monsters that no one else can see.



Name: Kava

Age: 18-29 (Refuses to give a straight answer)

Species: Orchid Mantis

Gender: Male

Occupation: Handler/Coordinator/Extortionist

Preference: 80% Submissive Bottom

History: The son of a gold-digger, little Kava grew up in a trailer park, but harbored big ambitions. His mother taught him everything she knew, and his sleazy neighbors completed his education, up to the day he sashayed of in search of his fortune. During an attempt to acquire a sugar daddy, Kava stumbled into an assassination attempt, and subsequently met Aconite. Quickly figuring out that the Mantis Shrimp was the biggest fish in the pond, Kava turned up the charm and managed to win Aconite's assistance in getting out alive. They remained together, and Kava soon learned how to use his old skills in his new life to turn a tidy profit and keep them both one step ahead of the reaper. He is quite content with his new life, but he never forgets that he is cozying up to a ticking time bomb, and is fully prepared to kill Aconite if it means preserving his own life.

Turn ons: Money, masculinity, protectiveness, vulnerability

Turn offs: Messes, pain, chaos, fear, threats

Strengths: Kava is a skilled manipulator and a former con-artist. Due to Aconite's tutelage, he is not completely helpless in combat, and is good at concealing weapons on his skimpy outfits. Kava has also had experience as an exotic dancer and a prostitute.

Weaknesses: Kava is much more of a lover than a fighter, and is prone to snapping when his plans go awry. Has a nasty and spiteful temper.

Trivia: Has a huge secret stockpile of trashy romance novels.
