Started sketching in class then inked while visiting my granny. We watch Animal Planet together, it's fun.
The anatomy and perspective, especially on his arm, is weird but I wanted to focus on the linework more, anyway. Not perfect, but a little less wonky than my usual stuff (ironically enough he was drawn before the 'lemur leader'). And I still can't draw weapons of any kind X)
No 'anteater' and there's no 'lemur' in the species list as well...c'mon people, you ignore some the most awesome creatures D:

SWEEEEEEET! Your lineart is so gorgeous! AND YOU DRAW TREES SO WELL, GOOD LORD. O:
What kind of Lemur is he? THE AWESOME KIND? Owait all Lemurs are the awesome kind. He kind of reminds me of an Aye-Aye; His overall face shape, his ears, and the clawed hands+feet give that impression. Just give him long fingers and he'd be all set! xD

Yay for my late replies.
To be honest...I have no idea. I was sketching around without being inspired at all. But at one point, when I looked at his muzzle, I kinda went "hey there, you'll be a lemur", and then everything else happened. Then again- I'm still new at drawing lemurs, so I'm pretty sure I messed up a lot. He was supposed to be the black faced and red-ish furred one. But hahaha, now that you mention it, he looks more like an Aye-Aye. Guess I must study these animals more when I have some spare time :D
And thank you for the compliments, you're too kind!

Haha. Don't worry, I do that kind of thing all the time! xD I'm so lazy.
Ohhh.. Haha! xD The Black-faced one with the red cheek-fluff would be a Red Ruffed Lemur. o: And now that you mention it, I can kind of see it, but their ears are really small (they're hardly even visible through all that fur) and they don't have the claws. :P But hey, if you ever want to learn about Lemurs, would like some links to good Lemur info sites, want tips on drawing them/their anatomy, etc.. Feel free to ask me! I love talking about Lemurs, haha! :D
You're very welcome! It's such a beautiful pic- Even without color! <33

Red Ruffed one, yes!
I worked without any reference photos (I saw them on Animal Planet briefly and decided they're awesome), but now that I found some...you're right about the ears, I'm not very observant xD
And thank you for the offer! I could use a critique on my lemurs, seeing as I just started drawing them and such...I'll really appreciate that :3

EEE! I love those guys! <3 They're the absolute most sweet Lemurs!! So gentle- even if you don't hand raise them or anything! (:
Well that's pretty good, considering it was all from memory! The first time I drew a Ruffed Lemur, it was a Black and White Ruffed Lemur, and I did it from memory (I had just gone to a zoo, where I got to touch one!) and I got the colors all inverted!! xD I actually got the markings fairly close, and I remembered the small ears, but I gave it a white face and black ear ruffs, etc. XD You're not going to get it right on your first go-round, especially if it's all from memory! Lemurs are really complex animals!
The ears are such a small part, though, that when you go to draw it you normally don't think about it. Or if you see them on TV or at a zoo you won't think to look. So it's understandable! xD I just thought I'd point it out in case you'd like to draw more Lemurs in the future! ^^ I don't know about you, but I always like to add in all the odd features of the animal I'm drawing. It gives it that sense of realism, and it just gives them personality! (:
Awesome! :D I hope I can help you sometime, then! I've also got thousands of Lemur photos- Surely I've got at least 1 photo of their various body parts, somewhere. Although it might be a different species, their body shapes are basically the same..
