Actually dignifying that with just a thanks is kinda stupid. LOL It was actually... refreshing... to get back to sketching since I haven't done any art in what feels like forever. I haven't used this shading technique in over a year, and it's been a solid technique that I'm not sure why I stopped using... aside from me being lazy and not feeling like doing anything. :/ I've relied waaaaaay too much on post-process. I may have done some here, but only to enhance it and do what I couldn't do with pencil.
At some point I need to actually produce real ART... something that actually has meaning behind it... not just some dumb pose or background image with no story, no emotion, and no soul. v.v Augh. *flips table* But first... warm up sketches~ No point in putting a lot of work into what would be a shitty piece of so-called art. 8U *flails*

Me too. v.v Sometimes I'm just not in an arting mood. Seems like when I art, I tend to art more... Like I did half a dozen sketches of Raiyou while I was doing this. But then work kills my arting mood and I get tired and dun wanna do anything the rest of the day. -.-; Meh. :/
It's got a slight haze to it since I desaturated it somewhat... I guess that brought the mood and tone of the piece down a little too. xD I wasn't really attempting a strong artistic piece with this one... just merely some pencil practice since I haven't done anything environmental in a while... ouo
Ahh... :> That's a shading technique I picked up a long time ago. If you draw and shade everything at a certain angle it becomes really easy to work your tones and highlights into the piece. Light is all relative, so your darkest darks help point out your lightest lights.
