WIP of a headshot I'm working on for giggles of my character Anibal. A Brazilian Ocelot. I'll probably finish the flats here in a bit, if I don't get distracted by gaming. lol

I saw some of the preview images on your tumblr (dem colors!), and I can't wait to see Anibal all finished! I love all those earrings, too.
Also, maybe it's just me, but have you had a darker skinned character before? (Just curious.) I figured Fayde didn't exactly count since she's covered in dark fur and her skin's blue.

I can't wait to finish the picture. C: I'm celshading it off and on at the moment. I'm glad you like though!
And yes. Though I haven't redrawn a bunch of them lately. Not only am I making or updating a few of my characters to have darker skin tones (though it depends, some are sorta pale gold/brown and some are darker), but I've had some since 2008 or so. I have, at the moment, one Loveless themed character that is an Arabic/Egyptian mix, and has darkkkk skin. I'm going to be making another dark skinned Loveless character sooner or later as well.
My black dragon prince also has brown skin, perhaps sorta comparable to Anibal's. lol
I haven't really delved into many EXTEMELY dark skinned characters. I have plots for one having black/dark grey skin. But I don't think that counts quite as much as a character having dark, dark brown skin? xD I'm certain to have a couple sooner or later. I just haven't designed any, that I'm aware of, with deep, dark, brown skin. C:
I've found that working with brown skin is interesting though. 8I It's hard for me to find the exact hue and saturation I want for each character, without going too light or too dark. But I am learning. And when in doubt, it seems better to make them a bit darker, than too light. xD!
I should say, that I have quite a few brown characters, however, they go from pale brown, to golden brown, to darker ones.
And yeah. Fayde doesn't count. xD Because if I draw her as a kemonomimi, she gets my skin color, which is pale white (I'm extremeeeely white lol). And in general, her skin color beneath the black fur is blue like the insides of her ears, her tongue, etc. Maybe slightly less saturated, but all the same.
