GLaDOS from Portal, as a cat.
Basically went in-game and ran around her while drawing this, so it should be pretty representational, I hope. The companion cube is just extra. Enjoy~

One of the design challenges I had while doing this. The parts of her (the ribbed, darker greys) hold the pieces together, like GLaDOS, her eyes are the same as spheres, and any more may seem odd since it would mean more than two eyes and thus less-relating to humans who look for a face. I added the cube's logo to be an obvious graphic that would tell you it's from the game right away, as a fail-safe if the rest of the design didn't do it. The dangling cables and the red button in her room should be also noticable, and the shapes I pulled from the shapes on her form. There weren't enough parts on the actual GLaDOS to fully cover an interesting design, so hence the reason for the red buttons, and shapes I got from the radio. So, no, it's not strictly a GLaDOS-tan, but really, she is the big Portal motif, from the very beginning, before the cake, before the cube, so it felt sensible to incorporate all of it, since she has a hand in everything.
Not arguing or mad at you, just stating why I went with what I went with.

I think it's mainly the weighted companion cube that threw me off. I don't recall such bright coloring as part of GLaDOS's design, either... Oh well. And you explained yourself unlike what some do when confronted with criticism! That's quite a few points for you right there regardless. xD
As for sphere usage, I've seen some people put the eyes on the backs of hands, as little hairbobs... Various things, really. :o

I haven't seen a furry GLaDOS-tan before, but there was this cute number: http://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=.....&id=143653
Sorry I didn't start critiquing as promised earlier--my health has gone down the tubes recently, and most of my existence hasn't been very active.
That said, this re-imagining of GLaDOS is really very creative. The free wires, odd-colored eyes, and overall feel of the character allude to GLaDOS' malfunctioning status. For a murderous, insane supercomputer she's awfully cute; The big eyes and ears draw attention to the face, and the little heart in the "navel" is a cute reference to the Companion Cube. The "outfit" is nice, too.
A couple of issues here and there, though. The shadows (especially on her closer lower leg) are kind of muddy, and the textures are sort of flat, but really the second one can be interpreted more as part of the style than an error. Some of the coloring here and there jumps the lines, but that's just my eyes scanning for everything they can see.
I'd have had issues blowing her up if she looked like this; I may have just sat down and hoped for the cake rather than destroy a cute robo-kitty. Or maybe I'd have blown her up, looked for all of the parts, and reassembled her as something a little less destructive. Maybe fix her AI and set her free as a robot citizen of Earth, and pray that a magnet and disk-erasing software cleared her memory. Enough of the fantasizing though; great work! Looking forward to seeing new stuff; loving it so far. Probably going to jump to a different work after this one, so stay tuned.

Not only would she be able to dodge the rocket turret, but she would also be able to finish the job herself instead of relying on filling the room with neurotoxin. Would that even be a winnable fight?
No. No, it wouldn't.
I just have one question, though; did you leave out the orange and purple cores from this pic intentionally or unintentionally?
