And I got it up while it was still Tuesday! My latest installment in my Tutorial Tuesdays series is a revamp of my old long seam/tail tutorial. One day, with practice, this whole process will be unnecessary for you, as it has become for me. It is invaluable for learning to work with sewing furs though! Be extra careful to push your fur into the seam so it doesn't get caught up, and be as precise as humanly possible with your measurements for your notches. That's the key to keeping your seams straight with this method!

Same here, but I've always used the middle length pins(I pin vertically, I see a lot of people pinning horizontally). I've found it way easier to remove when machine stitching(on the rare instances that I do). You just put your index finger on the pin head and it slides out as the fur goes through the machine. Safety pins just seem like a big hassle, unless you set a project down for later? Idk XD Different ways of doing things!
That's what I'll do too once I have a machine that works how I want it to at my disposal, but for handsewing I like not being a pincushion by the end of a workday. Safety pins certainly are a huge hassle though, and I will relish the day pinning doesn't take as long as patterning and piecing...
