I have a sneaking suspicion I'm either sleeping on the couch, or tonight is going to be very rough. Yes Deam is Yoshi, as the glare should have given away.
Mario Party 1 on the Wii: Handwave it. It's either Virtual Console, homebrewed, or an alternate universe. (In reality it was the only appropriate image with our preferred characters on it).
Yoshi as a Computer Player: See above about it being the only appropriate image I could be bothered to find in a short time. Alternatively I went into the pause menu and changed the controls when he wasn't watching.
By the way, I'm playing as Peach. Who is third on the list and currently blocked off by Deam's muzzle.
