after two hours at the park, he's passed the hell out lol
but this is him, our new pup!
When we got to the person's house (my coworker's neighbor), he was chained to a truck alongside a pitbull. Now, I'm not a humane officer or anything, but i do know that a truck is not an acceptable form of shelter. He didn't have any water or food set out, and he's a lot skinnier than I would like for him to be. He hasn't had his first shots either, so there's a chance he could end up with distemper. Luckily he doesn't show signs of parvo, and he doesn't have kennel cough. I don't know if he has worms or heartworms, though.
Getting him back up to a healthy body weight is going to take a while, but at least he's not horribly emaciated or anything.
Currently, he's too young to get neutered, but we do plan on doing it with our other dog, and then him when he gets older. We're going to get them microchipped and stuff too. Max is going to be registered as an emotional support animal (i have anxiety and raph has a lot of problems too) also.
So, we'll need a spot of help to get all this taken care of. If you guys can donate towards getting this guy vaccinated so we don't lose him to distemper and other canine diseases, PLEASE donate.

luccky...I'm saving up to get a couple of the neighborhood cats that like to come to my yard fixed..their owner just has cats spilling out the doors >< these two are really sweet, but no more kitties needed on this block, and I have had to patch them up from testicle fueled fights twice already. I'm a little bit lucky in that the local vet is offering cheap shots twice a month (I think it was 36.00 for the whole regiment) and S/N for 40(includes the cost of the visit)
All I have to say to that is "puppy went Splat".
Getting him up to correct body weight may be a bit interesting. He is a growing critter and growing critters have "hollow legs" (I have a male kitten who is growing like a weed at the moment and I can't get him to look like he actually gets a descent meal no matter how much kitten food I throw at the problem).
Something else you might want to do since he was living outside is to de-worm him. You can get a de-wormer at places like Tractor Supply. My vet recommended it as a reasonable cost alternative to a higher cost version at a vet's office.
I am a big fan of microchipping. See if your local shelter offers low cost microchipping along with low-cost spay/neuter clinics. Several shelters where I live offer it, I would hope it is similar where you are.
