Whoah, I never knew you could do backgrounds. I'd say the one thing I'd nitpick at would be the grass. If you're using a brush to do grass, what you could do is to make the prairie more three-dimensional, you could do multiple layers where the layers further back have lower transparency (if you use photoshop or a similar program, you could also try playing around with blending modes as well) and the brush size is smaller. Any grass that's in front of the primary subject(s) would use a larger brush size, and then anything that's really-up close should be hand-drawn rather than using the paint-tool to simply insert grass.

I'm no expert on the subject since I don't draw myself, but the above idea may or may not work for you for the grass.

Those mountains in the background look gorgeous! That was the second thing I noticed in the picture right after Twist herself. Whatever you're doing you're doing it right.
