This mask has a flowing pattern of turbulent strands flowing along the surface, meant to give the impression of wisps of fog blowing along the ground or of little bits of smoke blown around near a fire.
The pattern I drew by hand with pen and ink, then scanned into the computer and traced it. I then used a computer-controlled laser cutter to cut it out of leather. Finally it was dyed, formed and sealed up by hand.
