The Dark Messiah

Born in an alternate world to the canon of the show, Vivo was training to be the court Bard of the Crystal Empire under the tutelage of his father, Tempo Librissimo. In Vivo's world, King Sombra became the Lord of Shadows and was banished to the moon. A thousand years later, Sombra escaped with the assistance of his eternal bride, Queen Chrysalis. Together, the two launched an assault on the Crystal Empire during the Summer Sun Celebration (which also happened to be Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding day). After Tempo was killed during the assault, Vivo was brought under Cadence's wing. During the Shadow War, Vivo served alongside King Armor, Queen Cadenza, Bastion the Second, and Helga Ironbeak as the five members of the spec-ops unit, "The Manticorps".

Vivo is a classic D&D style Bard. His songs can empower his allies and weaken his enemies. His violin is a celestial artifact granted to him by Luna.
