Proof that everybody starts somewhere! I've even left off things that are older (and/or so old as to be unintelligible X)), but this is a pretty good sampling of drawings of mine from age 5 through 16. For reference, I'm 26 now.
I was partly driven to post this by visiting FA's forums. It seems a large number of very beginner artists are going there, asking for advice on how to improve, and there's little anyone can do but say "DRAW ALL THE TIME!" to help them. I know it's frustrating when what's in your mind does NOT come out on paper. I know how tedious it gets sometimes. I can't count the number of BAD drawings I've done in my life; the typical 10,000 estimate is probably a little low. But if you focus, stick with it, and have a little faith in yourself, you WILL improve. You'll see!
And I'll probably move this to scraps later. ;3

Would you consider putting the 1998 one up at its original size? It looks really stellar, especially considering how long ago that was. :D
Also, it's submissions like this that make me wish I hadn't stopped drawing when I was just a beginner. But I'm sure I'll find it motivating if I ever decide to try making art again :)

I applaud your compassionate nature !
It's always an amazing gift to be let behind the curtains of artistic stage that way, especially if the artist in question had crossed the technical and visionary excellency threshold quite some time ago. But yours was definitely an early start, you might as well hold the title of Paint & Digit Martial Artist Sensei - not that I find developing to that level unattainable, though.
Improving is a matter of determination and creative spirit - gliding upon the winds of inspiration, so to say, and also a sense of community with fellow artists and anyone who appreciate this artform. So thank you for sharing this glimpse your development as a benevolent encouragement gesture !
And for the record, Foxes and Gryphon pieces are both adorable and majestic, respectively.

I know what you mean too well. I also assembled a Quest for Improovement + a progress of "just" 2007 and it really took me a while till I had everything together. It really helps if you have a recurring character and thus limit the selection to these pics.
take your time , it really helps you and others understand your way of drawing and your development as an artist

Wow this is quite the inspiration for me, I have noticed improvement on my art over the years but I haven't committed myself to fully drawing for years until just earlier this year, and I've been at it improving my art forms, and I've been hitting a bit of a downslope, but seeing your progression just gives me more motivation to work at my passion to make something of it! But either way, you have progressed quite well and I applaud your evolution of your work.
