It is a cartoon, after all- simple is best! That, and I don't have the patience to draw every little leaf... And I wanted to post this on his birthday... I have this amazing photo of a panther looking up in much the same pose. That cat looks seriously baffled about whatever it is being held above his nose-I thought it would translate nicely for a happily surprised Darkie getting a bunch of shamrocks tossed onto him. :) Most of the panther's (in the photo)detail is lost in all the dark colours, but I just needed it for the positioning, which I altered slightly to accommodate Darkie's anthro body and hand-paws.

Meant it can't be done to dark ale, silly dragon! It's DARK. kind of a deep yellow-black, almost, but it tastes so good... Hard to tint that green.

Thank you! I did it in layers of progressively darker markers, then blending over it with a 80% French grey over the black bits to blend them in... I thought Darkie would look cool with a lithe panther body on his anthro... :)

Aww, shucks. I kinda just made it up as I went along- tried to keep as much of the feline anatomy as possible- blending it with human was a challenge, though. I'm trying to improve my 3-D sense with my shading... I need to really work on that, I'm thinking. And panthers are just pretty!

Neatness! what island do you live on? I'm on the Prairies, so winter clings like a limpet until at least the end of March. Oh, well, there ya go- it's the end of March- now hopefully some of this annoying stuff will MELT.

XD LONG island. Just a few seconds east of the big, rotten apple itself. The island itself is noticable on most world maps just to the south-east of NY (which we're technically part of).

You don't have to actually tell me the location of the island- my grasp of geography is pretty good. *grins* I was just curious as to where you were. Bet you can't tell me where Winnipeg is without consulting a program like Map-quest... Ha! *huggles and hopes she can actually visit your area some day- she likes New York and any big city).

XD Actually, I'm in a shit-stick little port town in the middle of the island. It's actually about an hour from the city, and I almost never go there.

Nothing wrong with that- there's some laces in Winnipeg I avoid, too.

*purrs and hugs you back* We have some pretty grotty neibourhoods in this town that could potentially rival any ghetto in the bigger cities. About all that might be missing are the burnt-out buildings (though we do have a few of those) and the over-turned, gutted cars... Sadly, we have the crime, grime and shames of any place over a million people.

You DID ask, you know. It's a sad truth that Winnipeg has been the Murder capital of Canada several years running. We just had an awful mass-murder recently, too- three people in one house... Much of it is gang-related. Guns and drugs and rival street-gangs fighting over drug-business with the bikers tossed in for spice. Hell's Angels, Spartans, Zig-Zag Crew (who are no more, I believe- they got absorbed by the Hell's).

... Yeah, maybe you ought to move down here. (And over there. :P I keep 4getting KaniS is in Cali and I'm in NY. XD)

Hmm, LA might not be the best place for me, as far as crime reputations go, but that's where my KaniS is, and I want to be with him... *purr*
