I've been pondering for a while if I should give Zelse hair or not. While it's not really that common for a snake to have hair, I figured "hey, he already has legs, why not?" So I asked

Sugarcat to do a quickie of him with a hairstyle I liked.

I love how it turned out, and will probably keep it, though I may make it a little bit darker.

What do you guys think?

I usually prefer having hair on characters; gives it personality.

I agree! This was especially driven home at last year's AC - I got a portrait commission of Zelse, and it turned out great, but his baldness was....VERY apparent. So I just knew that I would totally have to add something to his head to make it interesting. Spines/frills aren't really for snakes, so it had to be hair!
