Hair! You can resolve individual dog hairs with that thing! I think that you may have just sold a cell phone. Do you know if it meets millspec 810F for dust, impact, and water? When I'm 50 miles from the nearest paved road and 70 miles from the nearest house, I really need something reliable... That would be a really serious walk.
um... its a 2 megapixel cam on a phone.
you can get them on the slightly more expensive cameras. This is a cingular RAZR but it also works on some of the other ones. Lemme check at work to see what phones we have with impressive cameras and I'll get back to you. I dunno ... I'll ask jim too... have him tell you other phones he knows with impressive cameras on it

Thank you - I really appreciate your help. If you could find a list of cell phones that meet millspec 810F for resistance to dust, water, impact, etc., that would be very helpful. As a rancher, 100% of my cell phone use is outdoors. I currently have a huge ancient cellphone mounted in my 4x4 where it is fairly safe from snow, mud, rain, etc., but I would love to have something that I could carry on my utility belt that won't die if I drop it in a mud puddle.
Resistance to dust, water, and impact is far more important to me than picture quality. I'd rather have a cell phone with no camera at all that would survive a drop of a few feet onto a rock or into a puddle than one with a great camera that might leave me with a two day walk back to civilization if I fumble it.
My carrier is Alltel. I'm currently using an ancient Motorola 5 watt analog bag phone designed for use at remote mines and construction sites. All analog service will be discontinued this fall. Alltel has the only coverage in this area. I'll be getting a Wilson 5 watt cell phone range extender system with a high gain external antenna for my 4x4, but it would be nice to have something rugged that would work outside my truck when I was within line of sight of a mountain top cell tower. I very much appreciate your advice! It could literally be a lifesaver!!
