Luigi's just gotten bad treatment almost since day one. Heck, in their first RPG together, Mario was well recognized by everyone... but poor Luigi got called variants of "Mr. Greenie" the whole time!
=P Makes me wanna smack Nintendo for their idiotic ideas. I still owe 'em for what they did to Star Fox...

Oh...you have no idea...Starfox basically got screwed over by Nintendo, I don't think they even care for it too much. Look at Starfox 2 with Fay and Miyu's disappearance from the series...and Adventures? *sigh* So much can be said from this.
But Luigi had bigger roles in Luigi's Mansion, Mario's Missing, and Super Paper Mario at least. But the stare would make it all the more painful to watch.

Oh, trust me. I have good experience with Nintendo's neglect of Star Fox. There hasn't been a decent Star Fox game since 64, and having Fox step out of the cockpit to fight hasn't been much compensation. Frankly, I wouldn't mind a Star Fox game that had the old on-rails gameplay at least half the time... though my own idea for a new one would involve something like Mass Effect in execution. =P Or so I've been told. I just think that mercenaries ought to be out, y'know, mercena-ry-ing or something. Can't rely on saving Lylat all the time to pad the bank account.
As for Luigi, I'd say his only decent game is Mansion, where he's the star and it's not some lame "edutainment" crap. Also, the final scene with Mario at the end makes it all worthwhile. XD A favorite for us Luigi fans!

It may not be totally dead, but it's on life support. Unfortunately, Miyamoto seems to regard the series like a pimp regards his prostitutes: so long as she brings in the money, he don't care what people do to her. =P Well, no... I suppose the pimp at least cares if his "ho" gets butchered. Loss of property and all that. Miyamoto doesn't seem to have the heart to care that much.
btw, Rare made "Adventures", which is really the point at which everything went downhill (and killed my "diehard Nintendo fanboy" status). "Assault" was from Namco, which while it was interesting, ultimately wasn't what I was looking for. Should've had a better plot (could've had Andrew join their fight instead of gettin' blowed up, then backstab them later), and definitely a lot more on-rail stuff. All-range mode and the on-foot missions should be treated more like desserts or appetizers than the main course. Good compliment to the meal, but too much and you're liable to get sick of 'em.
Erf, I talk a lot. =P Remind me to save these rants for my journal instead.
Not that anybody reads the damn thing, but, y'know...

I call it the "Aura of Lose". all that stupidity they keep pumping into the poor guy just 'splodes right outta him. Yeah, its sad. but surprisingly effective at the very least. while your opponents are 'tarding around, you can just amble up and wipe em out.
I'm the same way really: I make a point of trying to kick butt with him to make up for the poor treatment nintendo is giving him.
hey Pawsman, where's that friend code you promised? ;p
